Randall's Workshops

The week of January 21st, Randall was in alllllllll day workshops. He was leaving the house around 6:45am and not getting home until 6pm. It worked out great that my parents had asked for a sleepover that Sunday night.....

Avery was still rebounding, so they did a stroller around the mall
Apparently the train conductor was a big Avery fan and gave them a REALLY long ride

 The Carousel

Tuesday Avery got to have a field trip (in her pjs) to Cameron's school....where she got to wear his jersey!
Tuesday night...her new swim goggles had arrived. I was trying to make dinner and was open to any means necessary of distraction :) Side note: this was the week we started Whole30. I was so proud that I managed to get dinner cooked every night while Randall was basically gone!
By Wednesday, the plan was just to straight head to "the play place" when school was out for some play....where mommy could just sit on a bench and watch the kiddos enjoy new stuff.
 John was thrilled....
 ...no, really.
They had such a great time there and were so not ready to leave. It was honestly a really fun afternoon and while I got to sit down and mostly just supervise, I did get plenty of involvement in all they were doing.
By Thursday morning, they had earned donuts for breakfast! I won't lie.... I fairly regularly through out donuts as a bribe to make mornings smooth. They had earned them by Thursday, so we had an early morning trip to the donut shop to start our day off right. Well...not mine...Whole30 and all ;)
