Baby Shower (#1)

Last weekend, some very lovely family (Christine and Jeni) and friends (Kelly and Shannon) threw Avery her first shower. Randall dubbed it her Christmas in July, and it certainly was that! I went into the day having basically nothing to prep for her arrival, and we left with a lot of reassurance that this child would be well cared for.

The shower itself was amazing....

Decorations/set-up were phenomenal (seriously, I know some really cute and creative people)

The games were super-well-done: we had match the celebrity to their baby (which I won!), Baby Gift Bingo, Lose your clothespin if you say "baby".... I love how the games really brought everyone together

And the food... was all pregnancy-friendly and VERY creative:

One of the big highlights was seeing what all Andrea had been up to for our baby girl. She has been BUSY!

The first set, I had a small inkling of, but they turned out beyond my expectations. It is a Faith Hope Love wall hanging set....

Everything else was a huge surprise to me. First up was a beautiful baby quilt for Avery:
Then, I got confused because the package was labeled for Randall. Inside was a Razorbacks baby quilt.
And (OF COURSE) there was an Aggie one to offset:
I was really blown away by the whole event. Randall and I (and on behalf of Avery) feel very blessed and loved by all that was done to support our growing family.

  1. I am a HUGE sucker for baby showers (well, any parties, but ESPECIALLY baby parties). Loving the pink and gray theme here :) Well done! (And nice loot!)
